I have chosen Vertigo films as a media institution which produces similar films to the ones which my group has produced an opening sequence to. I have also chosen this institution as it is very successful and popular; it has recently distributed ‘Streedance 3D’ which has been a great success locally as well as globally the movie reached the top of the box office beating the popular Disney ‘Prince Of Persia’ and becoming the number one UK independent film distribution.
The main objective of this company is to help smaller film distributors get their films out to the whole world as the low budget films now a days are very popular however they do not have the power to distribute the films themselves; this is where this company comes in if they think the film is good than they will make sure the film gets seen and hopefully makes it far.
This would be a good company to produce our type of films this is because this company produces low budget independent films which can go very far if successful. This company does allot to get the films out and help them make it to the big screens if good enough. One feature which this company has is that they have a website in which they have allot of useful information which can guide people how to make a movie and the process of sending it to the for evaluation.
